WebSphere, Service Oriented Architecture from IBM

WebSphere integrated into any Eurotech Embedded System

WebSphere MQTT LogoWebSphere refers to an IBM software brand bracketing many products  although the term also popularly refers to one specific product: WebSphere Applications Server (WAS). WebSphere is designed to set up, operate, and integrate business applications across multiple computing platforms using Java-based technologies. It includes both the run-time components (like WAS) and the tools to develop applications that will run on WAS. WAS itself is layered product, allowing for installation in various sites across the enterprise. Typically the WebSphere entry portal for embedded devices (such as RFID readers) is the WebSphere Premises Server.

WebSphere uses the protocol MQTT to communicate between individual subsystems. This lets individual programs publish data and events, and subscribe to data and events.

Eurotech fully supports MQTT on embedded devices. We connect them directly to the WebSphere environment, no gateway needed. Indeed, many Eurotech systems operate as gateways between various legacy device protocols and MQTT.
