OSGI
The OSGI implementation Eurotech provides is the open source Equinox project that comes from the Eclipse Foundation. It is an OSGI R4 core framework specification implementation.
Eurotech provides a highly optimized J2ME Java virtual machine and OSGI stack for most of our embedded single board computers. The virtual machine we typically provide is IBM's J9 and is a fully Sun compatible J2ME VM and is CDC1.1/Foundation1.1 compliant. In addition to the base JVM and OSGI runtime we also provide a repository of additional bundles and services that provide access to various features of individual SBCs including GPS devices, cellular modems, GPIO chips, and serially connected devices. All of these are presented in the form of OSGI services and include the native JNI implementations in the bundles themselves.
