Introduction Costs

Introduction- It’s not polite to throw a design ‘over the wall’
In our experience, design is not as big a part of lifecycle cost as most people think. Getting the product into production, with required tools, test fixtures, scrap and test builds, and an operative supply chain is just as big an effort. The central problems are that with fast changing technologies, supply chains and manufacturing methods are not uniform across all factories. The device must be designed for the specific facility where it is made.
