Audio Support in the Palm of Your Hand

Applied Data supports not only the AC97 and other Codec standards, but provides high quality input and output analog audio circuits offering as much and 70dB of SNR in some customized applications. Output audio circuits, right on the standard ADS board, offer as much as 2.2 watts power.

Applied Data Systems have been used to support VoIP (Voice over IP) applications with multiple simultaneous links operational. Our systems have support for SAPI 5 and other TTS and STT technologies. We also support WMA and other DRM systems and are one of the few companies that can run full speed (30fps), full frame (VGA) video on a low-power, embedded platform while decoding and playing high-quality audio.

This custom designed Media Player was developed and put into production in only 90 days. The technology was transferred under an economical, per unit license agreement, which kept all development cost below $80K and allows for manufacture in low-cost offshore facilities.
