Here is a benchmark for various RISC platforms vs. a 166 Pentium. Low numbers are better. As you can see, SA 1100 (Intel Brutus Platform) is about three times faster than a 166 Pentium. The ADS implementation of a SA1100 is significantly faster than Brutus due to optimized drivers. All other RISC architectures are much slower than SA.
