PDQ Incorporated PDQ wanted a control system to operate their new technology "LaserWash™" car-wash design. The system had to be very reliable and easy for the customer to use. Also, it needed a good interface to commercial systems via Internet connections. PDQ investigated some typical industrial Allen Bradley-type HMI and PLC solutions, but found that the Applied Data embedded systems with on-board I/O provided a more reliable solution at much lower cost.
