Job
Description:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to be responsible for overseeing auditing of company processes with a concentration on ISO 9000 and the Corrective Action System. This position will interface at senior and executive levels with regard to ISO 9000 process improvement and reengineering. Timely data analysis and presentation to upper management is critical to success in this position.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in decision-making, flexibility, planning and organizing, self-initiative and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee, maintain, and improve the company's ISO 9001:2000 program
• Analyze and recommend appropriate changes of ISO procedures to respective managers
• Audit existing and new ISO procedures for compliance based on ISO requirements and audit history.
• Verify that procedures are in use, functional and efficient
• Assume the responsibility of ISO Representative for Applied Data Systems, coordinate and administer third party quality audits, inclusive of schedules, communication, reports and tracking follow-up actions
• Report ongoing activities to Management/Board of Directors and keep the company continuous improvement efforts on track
• Oversee and champion the Corrective Action system:
• Maintain the corrective/preventive action program, inclusive of tracking status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses, working with departments for timely completion and periodic reports and metrics
• Monitor, evaluate and assign corrective actions to appropriate department heads for completion
• Assure Internal/External corrective action opportunities are channeled through the CAR system
• Verify by auditing the effectiveness of corrective actions
• Provide monthly reports on problem areas (Pareto, Trend, and other methods) to senior and executive management
• ISO process audits for all departments
• RMA activity
• Work with Engineering and Operations to help improve their processes
• Review of Engineering Process / Quality functions
• Input into product design / development
• Additional duties as required
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or QA discipline or equivalent
• 7–10 Years Experience in a Senior Quality Role preferred
• Certified by ASQ (American Society for Quality) as a CQE/CQ Mgr/CSSBB preferred
• 3+ years experience in company-wide ISO 9000 lead auditing
• Experience in an electronic fabrication and assembly environment is a plus
• Experience and knowledge of software environments is also a plus
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company
• Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and the Internet.
