Linux Software Engineer
Applied Data Systems ('ADS') in Columbia, Maryland, is a leading designer and manufacturer of intelligent embedded mobile devices. Our products are characterized by their low power consumption, small form factor, and robust functionality. We specialize in quick time-to-market customized hardware designs. We are currently seeking an experience Linux Software Engineer. As a valued member of the ADS engineering team, you will have an opportunity to have direct impact on the company’s products.
Description:
ADS is seeking a talented SW Engineer to join our GNU/Linux team. You will develop programs, shell scripts, drivers and kernel code to run on our hardware devices. You will help us support our customers. We are commited to open source GNU/Linux development. This is an opportunity for you to have direct impact with the work you do.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years minimum related work experience
- Experience in Linux kernel and device driver development
- Excellent communication skills
- Programming experience with ARM processors helpful
- X Windows experience helpful
- Debian and RTOS experience helpful
EDUCATION: BSEE or BSCS preferred.
